Chapter Four: Odaiba and Friends (Part One)

 Hi! Welcome back to 7/11 Barcrawl! Here's chapter four. This chapter focuses on friends we met at the hostel (and some adventures we went on with them). That's all for now! I'll post part two of the Odaiba adventure and a few other chapters next week (Harajuku and Sanrio World, hopefully!). Here's my cultural info/travel tips.

- We stayed at Anne Hostel in Asakusabashi. It was a great location, cheap, and the staff and guest were super nice. I can't recommend it enough! 

-  I used to work at a hostel, and I wrote up my best hostel stay tips for you here! 

- Here's some further info about Odaiba! It's a really fun place for a day trip. You can take a ferry there from Asakusa, which I really recommend (this is the boat where we all got drunk and I got seasick --I still recommend it though). Also...this is the weird giant robot (lol). If you're curious, here are a few more links about Odaiba and about its connection to the 2020 Olympics (rip):

- This is the rainbow bridge in Odaiba -- it's so gorgeous! I really recommend seeing it if you can.

I can't find the temple we went to where people tried to get us to convert, but if you do visit Tokyo, I really recommend visiting Senso-Ji temple in Asakusa, which is gorgeous.

About 7/11 Barcrawl

 The 7/11 Barcrawl is a travelogue comic by Erin Taylor, detailing a trip to Japan in winter 2018. It's an exploration of travel, cross cultural communication, and Japanese bar and travel culture. It is Japanese culture and traditions through the eyes of two Americans: Erin and Moira. Erin studied abroad in Japan in high school, and has been studying Japanese since she was eleven, but this trip is Moira's first time in Japan -- she's seeing it through fresh eyes.
